Did you notice the color in our Bulletin?  Our contract with John Patrick Publishing Company has recently been renegotiated.
We will now have the addition of color in our weekly Bulletin.  Did you know that our Bulletins are published at no cost to our parish?  The advertisements on the back page cover the cost of publishing.   The addition of color is at no expense to our parish!  Please check out the advertisements, and thank our local businesses!  We hope you patronized their business!

Ran out of room in the Bulletin for these:

Sunday, August 13: In August we celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of Mary in which we honor her important role in Jesus’ life from her initial “Yes” to her presence with the apostles after his death. Although we don’t expect to be assumed into heaven, spouses sometimes get into trouble by assuming they know what the other thinks. Don’t mind read. Check it out with words.

Sunday, August 13:  As children grow older they often balk at doing “religious” stuff with their family. Be creative about inviting your children into faith experiences. Ask what THEY think would be a meaningful way to “serve the Lord.” It might seem crazy, but try it once.

Sunday, August 13: We are told of Matthew’s account of Jesus walking on water this week. This miraculous feat asserts Christ’s power and dominion over the earth and its elements. I am drawn; however, to what He did before walking out to meet His disciples. After feeding the five thousand He had His disciples leave so He could go up the mountain to pray. This is an important reminder to us about setting time aside to commune with God alone. In the hustle and bustle of our life sometimes we forget how important this is. How often do you set aside alone time with our Lord? Our over inundated schedules these days can make it feel like getting any alone time is impossible but we should strive to make this time available to the Lord. Look for some time this week that you can set aside for God. Take a moment in the bathroom or turn the radio off in the car during your commute. We may not have much time but if we look for it I’m sure the Lord will give us the opportunity to spend time with Him.

Price: $75.00       The price of the ticket includes the bus, the driver’s tip, and the museum ticket.  Dinner will be on your own at Mastoris.
