The Squires are a Catholic young men’s group ages 10 -18 associated with the Knights of Columbus. It was founded in 1925 and created to offer teenage boys leadership training and moral guidance that would serve them for a lifetime. The group, otherwise know as a Circle, meets the 4th Wednesday of every month from 6:30 to 7:30 at St. Polycarp in Smyrna.
In the Squires our young men will not only participate in a variety of activities, but also help plan them and learn to be leaders. Programs encompass four different directions:
Circle Activities – Sporting and Social events
Service Activities – Volunteer programs around the Parish and the local community to give back to those less fortunate
Spiritual Activities – Programs and activities that strengthen faith and further develop strong Christian character.
Membership Activities – Programs and activities that maintain and encourage membership.
