Who was Brother Vincent?

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS – BROTHER VINCENT COUNCIL 7517
BROTHER VINCENT COLUMBIETTES

SQUIRES CIRCLE

What do you know about Brother Vincent?  Brother Vincent is an important part of our history here at St. Polycarp. It seems that most people in our parish have no idea who Brother Vincent was.  But there are those long time parishioners who remember.   Special thanks to Rita Brown for knowing there was information in our archives and to Joan O’Drain for beginning the search for “Who was Brother Vincent”.

Christmas Pageant 2019 – Alleluia! Jesus is His Name!

On Christmas Eve, following the 4pm Mass, our PSR Grade 1 classes participated in the Annual Christmas Pageant.  These darling children definitely displayed the true meaning of Christmas, truly celebrating the birth of the Baby Jesus!

First Reconciliation

FIRST RECONCILIATION

Peace be with you! Congratulations to our 15 Second Grade children, 8 Intermediate students, and 2 adults who received the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on Saturday, December 7th.  Thank you to the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality for helping with the reception!

Christmas Parade 2019

St. Polycarp Church participated in the Smyrna-Clayton Christmas Parade on December 7th. Thank you to all who made this possible!  Thank you to all those who helped to build the beautiful float, our driver, all those who rode or walked representing the birth of our Lord in the manger that very first Christmas.
