Immaculate Conception Parish in Cecil Co., Maryland is seeking a full-time Director of Music Ministry (DMM) responsible for music at weekend liturgies, Holy Days, weddings, funerals, sacramental celebrations, and parish ministries.
The Catholic Community of Immaculate Conception/St. Jude is part of the Diocese of Wilmington and located in Elkton, MD. It is in a suburban and rural community of 1,004 households. It is an active, welcoming parish with a variety of ministries and programs for members of all ages. We also serve a Mission Church, St. Jude, in North East, MD.
Position: The DMM is responsible to call forth the gifts of the parish community through involvement with choirs, musicians, and active participation of the assembly during Mass. The DMM is responsible for preparation of choirs, cantors, and music groups to ensure proper musical accompaniments for all services.
The ideal DMM has a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in music (Sacred or Liturgical preferred) with experience in Roman Catholic liturgy and liturgical music. The DMM is skilled in piano and voice; organ is preferred but not essential. Salary is commensurate with skill, education, and experience. Benefits are offered in keeping with diocesan policy.

Director of Faith Formation: Immaculate Conception Parish
Immaculate Conception Parish in Cecil Co, Maryland is seeking a full-time Director of Faith Formation for our parish. The Director will be responsible for providing leadership for our parish’s faith formation programs. The Director will oversee the Coordinator of Primary Faith Formation (grades 1-8) and provide services for Confirmation candidates, our youth, and adult faith formation groups.
Minimum required qualifications include:
Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing.
Possess a broad contemporary knowledge of catechetical issues, methods, and documents concerning religious education, pastoral theology, or related fields. An earned degree is preferred.
Demonstrates enthusiasm, skills and abilities obtained through successful previous involvement in parish faith formation or related ministry experience, or an equivalent combination of professional experience.
