Gregory Yourek   Hello. I am Greg Yourek.  My wife Adrienne, my two sons, and I have been attending Mass at St. Polycarp since we moved to the area four years ago. We became parishioners last year after being parishioners at Holy Cross, where our children attend school. We have always been involved in our home parish. I have served as an Extraordinary Minister for over 15 years and my wife has been involved in music ministry, and we are involved with those ministries at St. Polycarp. I have also volunteered for ministries, such as vacation Bible school, at my children’s’ school.  We feel blessed to be parishioners of St. Polycarp and have felt welcomed by so many other parishioners. I look forward to the opportunity to serve our faith community as a member of Pastoral Council.

David Gardella Jr.    My name is David Gardella Jr. I am a father of 3 children and have been with my wife Lauren for 8 years. We all reside in Clayton Delaware. I am a parishioner at St. Polycarp parish since 2013. I am a member of the Knights of Columbus Brother Vincent council 7517 at St. Polycarp’s since 2014. I have been a Corrections officer for the past 12 years at James T. Vaughn correctional center here in Smyrna. I also run a small lawn care company in addition to my full time job. I enjoy fishing in my free time.

Beth Bishop   I came to St Polycarp Church in the fall of 2016 shortly after moving to Delaware.  Prior to my retirement and move I was a parishioner of St Christopher and St Sylvia in Red Hook, NY for 27 years.  I was a member of the Ladies Guild, supporting the parish Christmas bazar, the Spring community fair, bi-annual yard sale, and other parish events.  Now that I am retired, I want to give of myself and my time more fully to St Polycarp.  Recently I have been one of the collection counters, and I will be seeking membership in the Columbiettes in May. My husband and I live in Cheswold and have one daughter, Veronica, who lives in Montana.

Delia Lim   My name is Delia Lim. I am a retired registered nurse and moved with my husband Vincente to Smyrna three years ago.  I managed my husband’s surgical practice for 40 years and coordinated the surgical team during our recent mission trip to the Philippines.  I am a Sodality member and serve as a Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister.

Charles W. Miller   Chuck was married to Frances Hendry Miller (deceased) with children John, Cathleen and Kevin. He retired from the Air Force, as Lieutenant Colonel, after 29 years of distinguished service. He has been active at St. Polycarp, for over 39 years, as Eucharistic Minister, Knights of Columbus, St. Vincent de Paul Society, Catholic Appeals Chairman, Steward Chairman, and Future Needs Committee Chairman.  Charles is past Executive Officer of the Pastoral Council and Finance Council.  He is currently serving on the Pastoral Council and Finance Council.  He also serves on the Diocese Board of Catholic Education (Chair) and Diocese Board of Catholic Schools.
