WELCOME BACK! Bishop Malooly, has lifted the dispensation, thereby reinstating the Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation for Catholics in the Diocese, effective this weekend, June 26, 2021. The obligation does not apply to those who are ill, have been exposed to the virus, or have any serious underlying health conditions. We welcome and encourage the Faithful to return to full in-person participation of the Sunday Eucharist, the source and summit of our Catholic faith.

LECTORS NEEDED: We are in need of additional lectors for the 4:00 pm and 10:30 am Masses. If you are interested in serving in this ministry, please call Linda Mood at 302- 653-6852.

FIRST FRIDAY DEVOTIONS: Next Friday, July 2nd. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Sacred Heart Devotions following the 8:30 am Mass.

SHOE DRIVE: Girl Scout Troop 547 is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser through July 9. (Date has been extended). We also pray for those who have recently lost or who are facing the imminent loss of their fathers, may they find comfort in the love that their fathers have given them.

UPDATED COVID-19 GUIDANCE: Reservations are no longer required. Under guidance by the Diocese and the CDC, vaccinated persons are not required to wear masks. Non-vaccinated persons are required to wear masks. Please sanitize your hands as you enter Church.  There will be a section reserved for those who would like to be seated using the 6 foot distancing. Masks are required in that section.) If you would like to be seated in this area, please let the usher know when you enter.  The Sign of Peace will be reinstated without physical contact between non-family members. Communion will be distributed with two lines approaching the altar. Bathrooms are available. At this time, the cry room is unavailable. After the final hymn has ended, please sanitize your area. We would appreciate donations of sanitizing wipes. There will be a basket in the vestibule and a red bin under the portico to collect your donations of wipes.  Thank you.

Meetings: As we travel through the re-opening, each group/ministry must discern their own path with regard to in person/hybrid meetings taking into account diocesan and CDC guidelines. All groups/ministries will need to submit a Room Reservation Form to Teresa at office@saintpolycarp.org prior to resuming meetings on campus.

We were blessed to have Morgan Burris step forward to help with starting, stopping, p/t/z (pan, tilt, zoom) and creating streaming links. You may see Morgan at Mass with her laptop. Morgan has the ability to stream from her laptop at Mass or to work remotely.  We would like to have another person to share this responsibility. UPDATED COVID-19 GUIDANCE: Reservations for weekend Masses are no longer required. Under guidance by the Diocese and the CDC, vaccinated persons are not required to wear masks. Non-vaccinated persons are required to wear masks. Please sanitize your hands as you enter Church. You may choose your own pew. There will be a section reserved for those who would like to be seated using the 6 foot distancing. If you would like to be seated in this area, please use the side door and let the usher know when you enter.  The Procession of the Gifts will resume. Please let an usher know if you would like to carry the gifts. Collections will be taken using the baskets with long handles. The Sign of Peace will be reinstated without physical contact between non-family members. Communion will be distributed as done in the past with two lines approaching the altar. Bathrooms will be available. At this time, the cry room is unavailable. 

For now, we will continue sanitizing pews. After the final hymn has ended, please sanitize your area.  We would appreciate donations of sanitizing wipes. There will be a basket in the vestibule and a red bin under the portico to collect your donations of wipes.  Thank you.

Missals:  A limited number of Missals have been placed in the pews for use when you are here. We ask that you do not take them home. If you have been bringing your Breaking Bread Missal with you during Covid, please continue to bring it with you weekly to Mass.  

The dispensation of the obligation to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation issued March 12, 2020 remains in effect for the Diocese of Wilmington.

Meetings: As we travel through the re-opening, each group/ministry must discern their own path with regard to in person/hybrid meetings taking into account diocesan and CDC guidelines.

FIRST FRIDAY: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Sacred Heart Devotion follow the 8:30 am Mass on Friday, June 4th, the First Friday of the month.

MEMORIAL MASS: A Memorial Mass for Deacon Charlie will be celebrated on June 23, 2021 at 6:30pm. Let us continue to pray for the repose of his soul and for his loving family.

REGISTRATION FOR PSR (Parish School of Religious Education) is now open for 2021-2022.  Our PSR offers religious education for children in pre-kindergarten through ninth grade. STONES FAITH GARDEN: We welcome all those who contributed a stone to explain its meaning by submitting a line or two, a paragraph or two, about your stone. We will  publish these lessons on our various platforms. (You may remain anonymous.) Submissions should be sent to   submission@saintpolycarp.org. This will allow all in our community to grow in understanding the power and grace of the Holy Spirit active in our midst.

SHOE DRIVE: Girl Scout Troop 547 is conducting a shoe drive fundraiser through June 25.
