CONFIRMATION: Please pray for our 11 parish youth who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation tomorrow, Saturday, April 23rd, at 10 am at Holy Cross Church, Dover.
Most Rev. W. Francis Malooly, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Wilmington, will be the Confirming Prelate.
WE REMEMBER ~ DEACON CHARLIE ROBINSON ~
on the one year anniversary of his passing into eternal life. (April 24th)
May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
We miss you, Deacon Charlie.
CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF WILMINGTON – 2022 FAITH AND CHARITY CATHOLIC APPEAL will be conducted in parishes throughout the diocese next weekend. Once a year, our Bishop asks each of us to make a commitment to support the work of diocesan programs and ministries that provide services that no one parish can offer on its own. Your gift helps our Church to serve the poor, the sick, the distressed, our children, and our elderly. As parishioners of St. Polycarp, we are being asked to serve others by sharing our resources. Your generosity enables us to accompany our brothers and sisters in need. Our parish target is $60,000. Your financial support of the Appeal also provides funding for our parish since once achieving the goal assigned to our parish, once we are over goal, we receive 50% of monies collected for our own parish and ministry needs. Please prayerfully consider your generous gift to this Faith and Charity Catholic Appeal. Kindly decide ahead of time the contribution you wish to make this year and come to church next week prepared to complete your pledge and offer your support to our parish, and the Diocese of Wilmington. To learn more about the Faith and Charity Catholic Appeal, visit www.cdow.org; click “Giving” then “Faith and Charity Catholic Appeal”, or simply scan this QR code with your cellphone.
AS YOU ENTER MASS THIS WEEKEND, please pick up a Walking In Faith prayer card. Prayer cards are located at the end of each pew. We ask that you only take one. Thank you.
THE BLESSING OF THE ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE will take place on Saturday, Apr. 23rd at the 4:00 pm Mass.
APOSTLES’ CREED: Beginning this weekend, through Pentecost, we will be saying the Apostles’ Creed, instead of the Nicene Creed at Mass. (Page 10 in Breaking Bread)

MOTHER’S DAY NOVENA: We are part of this world today because our mothers have given us life. Every one of us has several special women who have enriched our lives: Grandmothers, Aunts, Cousins, Caregivers, Godmothers, Friends and others. Living or deceased, the best gift you can give a loved one is the gift of the Mass. Please use the Mother’s Day Mass Remembrance envelopes to enlist these special women in the masses offered by our parish.

LET US PRAY:
Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion — inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
