It was built over 200 years ago – 50 years before the founding of the Diocese of Wilmington. In 2015, Bishop Malooly, with the support of the priests of the diocese, instituted an annual special collection to support the maintenance and ministry of our Cathedral. This year, the collection will be held on August 13 & 14. More information is available at cathedralofstpeter.com… and at www.cdow.org/cathedral. Thank you for your generosity.

ADULT FAITH FORMATION – CONNECTED IN CHRIST
We recently used the platform, Formed, to listen to “The Holy Spirit – Third Person of the Trinity” Fr. Shannon Collins. We heard that when God wants to touch someone, He sends His Holy Spirit. One take away was to reflect on times when the Holy Spirit touched our lives.
Please join us as we begin a study on the Holy Spirit entitled “The Wild Goose” by Fr. Dave Pilonka, TOR on Tuesday, August 16 at 9:15 am in the library. There are fourteen sessions. Even if you cannot be present for all, you can see any missed session on Formed. The Holy Spirit will lead us to a place of mercy, healing, peace, and presence…a Person that will lead us to the Heart of God. For more information, please contact Cookie Ruane 302-540-6429.

LET US PRAY:
Prayer to St. Lawrence, Deacon and Martyr – Feast Day, August 10
O Generous patron of the Church’s poor, St. Lawrence, pray to the One God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit that all the poor of the Church in need in every corner of the world may feel the effect of the love of their brothers and sisters who seek to help them.
Deliver the Church from the greed and envy of the powerful and protect her rights and property so that she may serve the needy in freedom, giving them good things for soul and body.
May we come some day with all those whom we helped on earth to the bright mansions of heaven where we will enjoy the riches of God’s house and the company of the Savior who lives and reigns forever and ever.
