ONLINE BULLETINhttps://www.jppc.net/onlinebulletins/301template.pdf

JOYFUL NEWS! Bishop Malooly, has lifted the dispensation, thereby reinstating the Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation for Catholics in the Diocese of Wilmington, effective June 26, 2021. The obligation does not apply to those who are ill, have been exposed to the virus, or have any serious underlying health conditions. We welcome and encourage the Faithful to return to full in-person participation of the Sunday Eucharist, the source and summit of our Catholic faith.

R.C.I.A. – CHANGE THE WORLD: Do you know someone who is interested in becoming Catholic? Are you an adult who has never made First Eucharist or been Confirmed? Deacon Frank will hold an Inquiry Session on July 12th for those adults who have not been baptized, who were baptized in another Christian tradition who desire to become Catholic or for those adults baptized Catholic in need of First Communion and/or Confirmation. For information, please contact Deacon Frank Weber at DeaconFrank@saintpolycarp.org or leave a message with the parish office. (302) 653-8279.

REGISTRATION FOR PSR (Parish School of Religious Education) is now open for 2021-2022.  Our PSR offers religious education for children in pre-kindergarten through ninth grade. Sacramental preparation is offered for First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. Visit https://saintpolycarp.org/religious-education/ for more information. Questions? Contact our Coordinator of Religious Education, Erica Taylor at 302-653-4101 or dre@saintpolycarp.org

MEMORIAL MASS: A Memorial Mass for Deacon Charlie will be celebrated on June 23, 2021 at 6:30pm. Originals will be returned. Let us continue to pray for the repose of his soul and for his loving family.

FATHER’S DAY NOVENA: Express your love for a special father, grandfather, godfather, father-in-law, or any man who has played a fatherly role in your life by enrolling them in the Father’s Day Novena of Masses. You can remember any man, living or deceased who is dear to you.  Envelopes are available at the doors of the Church.

DO YOU HAVE IT (Information Technology) EXPERIENCE? We continue to need help with the IT end of our live streaming. 2021 ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL :  Please visit our online Bulletin or visit www.cdow.org/annualcatholicappeal to find out how you can help provide pastoral, charitable, and educational programs and services to tens of thousands of people in our 12 county Diocese. St. Polycarp’s ongoing example of stewardship has been the epitome of generosity in years past. Pledge cards are available at the doors of the Church and in the black drop box under the portico. We need your help to reach this year’s target goal!

STONES FAITH GARDEN: We welcome all those who contributed a stone to explain its meaning by submitting a line or two, a paragraph or two, about your stone. We will  publish these lessons on our various platforms. (You may remain anonymous.) Submissions should be sent to   submission@saintpolycarp.org. This will allow all in our community to grow in understanding the power and grace of the Holy Spirit active in our midst.

UPDATED COVID-19 GUIDANCE: Reservations are no longer required. Under guidance by the Diocese and the CDC, vaccinated persons are not required to wear masks. Non-vaccinated persons are required to wear masks. Please sanitize your hands as you enter Church.  There will be a section reserved for those who would like to be seated using the 6 foot distancing. Masks are required in that section.) If you would like to be seated in this area, please let the usher know when you enter.  The Sign of Peace will be reinstated without physical contact between non-family members. Communion will be distributed with two lines approaching the altar. Bathrooms are available. At this time, the cry room is unavailable. After the final hymn has ended, please sanitize your area. We would appreciate donations of sanitizing wipes. There will be a basket in the vestibule and a red bin under the portico to collect your donations of wipes.  Thank you.

Meetings: As we travel through the re-opening, each group/ministry must discern their own path with regard to in person/hybrid meetings taking into account diocesan and CDC guidelines. LET US PRAY:

ANIMA CHRISTI

Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy wounds hide me.
Separated from Thee let me never be.
From the malignant enemy, defend me.
At the hour of death, call me.
And close to Thee bid me.
That with Thy saints I may be Praising Thee, forever and ever. Amen.
